Gift Aid

Whichever method of donating you choose, please remember to specify that you wish to Gift Aid your donation. This costs you nothing extra, but allows us to claim back the tax from your gift from the Inland Revenue meaning for every £10 donated, we can claim back an extra £2.50 from the Government.

For your donation to qualify as Gift Aid, what you pay in Income Tax or Capital Gains Tax must at least equal the amount we will claim in the tax year.

The charity’s reclaim will always be 25p per £1 given, equivalent to basic rate income tax. However, if you are a higher/additional rate taxpayer, you can personally reclaim a further 25p/31.25p per £1 given by including your donations in the ‘Gift Aid payments’ box on your Self Assessment tax return, or by contacting HMRC.
